Paralegal II The candidate will be responsible for trademark portfolio, review of product packaging and marketing materials. Draft domestic and foreign trademark prosecution documents (applications, renewals, affidavits of use, statements of use). Draft foreign trademark correspondence for response to actions and work with foreign counsel during trademark prosecution. Perform trademark searches on-line at request of product marketing. Review trademark searches and work with Intellectual Property Manager and attorneys. Review and approve product packaging and work with packaging groups. Assist IP attorneys and Intellectual Property Manager with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, including reviewing newly acquired patent files for status and information to be incorporated into docket system. Perform Internet, Delphion and Dialog (on-line) searches for IP related matters and as requested by attorneys. Draft copyright permission letters. Trademark docketing (CPI knowledge a plus). Interact with product marketing, regulatory, packaging, engineering and corporate to obtain relative information regarding responses and filings. General knowledge of U.S. patent requirements and procedures and able to assist in U.S. prosecution. Update databases as needed. Work with outside counsel worldwide, including inter-company divisions. The candidate should have a high school diploma/ paralegal certificate. Should have 4+ years' experience with 1-2 years of experience working with trademarks and 2-3 years' experience working with patents.For further information, please visit us online at http://www.lawcrossing.com
