We are looking for a Storage Test Engineer (5425) – Round Rock/Tx
Candidates should posses the following minimum knowledge and skills:

Storage Test Engineer (5425)

Estimated Term: 9 months

Experience- 4-7 years

Location: Round Rock

Brief Overview:

Testing new features and capabilities of Dell PowerVault External Array platforms including the MD3000 and MD3000i. General knowledge of Windows and Linux OS's required. General knowledge of VMWare preferred. Knowledge of storage and RAID subsystems required.

Required Experience:

Essential Functions: Knowledge of RAID storage testing fundamentals and Microsoft and Linux OS's;

Experience/exposure in a QA / Product test environment, execute test cases, writing up defects

Knowledge/exposure to RAID

Knowledge/exposure to protocol analyzers

Be able to install Windows and Linux OS

Able to execute command line shell commands in both Windows and Linux OS

Setup/troubleshoot applications on Windows and Linux

Setup/troubleshoot Ethernet network

Knowledge of device driver architecture in both Windows and Linux

Knowledge of Ethernet switching fundamentals

Knowledge/exposure to iSCSI, SAN network

Knowledge/exposure to SAS, DAS

Knowledge of enterprise storage components such as SATA/SAS hard drives

Knowledge of serial shells such as hyperterm on Windows and minicom on Linux
