Greenpeace one of the world’s most respected environmental organizations has a vacancy for a:
Campaigner: Climate Change and Energy
The campaigner will coordinate the campaign, advocating measures to reduce the impacts of climate change, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, oppose fossil fuel based energy solutions and advocate for renewable energy solutions, basing the campaign on well-informed scientific knowledge and utilising excellent strategic campaign and networking skills.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS and Skill expected:
Excellent networking skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of organizations and communities
Excellent strategic skills in analyzing and planning strategies for the Climate and Energy campaign in the South East Asia and demonstrated experience in these areas.
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree preferred or an equivalent degree or equivalent experience working on environmental/climate issues.
Knowledge of the environmental and social impacts of Climate Change and the science behind it.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Demonstrated experience in an environmental/activist organization (work on climate and energy issues is preferred).
Proven ability to work both independently and in close coordination with a team.
Proven experience in directing a project from conception to completion.
Preferred skills include experience in key program areas: public speaking, activist training, strategic planning and organizing people around an issue.
Commitment to non-violent direct action as a means of affecting changes.
