We are looking for a Oracle Database Developer -- Taylor/Tx

Candidates should posses the following minimum knowledge and skills:

ORACLE DATABASE DEVELOPER

TERM: 6 Months plus Benefits

Location: Taylor, Texas (near Austin)

Responsibilities

Description:

Summary of Responsibilities:

Provide technical development skills for the Data Archive/Data Warehouse Group. Key responsibilities cover all tiers of the Enterprise Data Warehouse infrastructure, including but not limited to design and development of database models, database replication, integration, web-enabled applications, data extraction and delivery methods, reporting foundations, and data presentation.

Requirements

Essential Job Duties:

- Development of applications within existing architecture and under the guidelines of overall technical goals of the data warehousing team

- Review and develop application components in support of data warehousing efforts using Oracle technology

- Interface with key groups in the company to ensure quality product delivery (example, project managers, application and technical architects, usability engineers, other development groups, business end users, and external users as appropriate)

- Possess and maintain technical proficiency in the following key technical areas: Oracle 8.1.7-9.0.2.5, PL/SQL expert, PL/SQL and SQL Tuning, Oracle Development Toolsets (TOAD, PL/SQL Developer, etc.), Multithreading Techniques, Parallel Query, and Oracle Stored Java, Oracle Database Application Development.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years (in excess of degree requirements stated above) of progressively responsible experience in developing databases.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or six years applicable experience is required.
- Master's degree in Computer Science a plus.
