Qa Engineer

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience with website functional testing and website performance testing - and a strong desire to work on both. It is expected that the candidate's time will be evenly split between performance testing and functional testing. However, there may be times when the candidate spends significantly more time on one than the other based on the needs of a U.S. employment matching website. This website was founded in October 2006 and has grown swiftly since that time, attracting the attention of investors such as Brian Swette, former COO of Ebay, and Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn.

Requirements

* Experience in testing multi-tiered applications developed using Java/J2EE related technologies.
* Experience writing functional test plans for both front-end and back-office functionality.
* Knowledge and experience with website performance testing tools and techniques.
* Experience analyzing the results of website performance tests and diagnosing performance bottlenecks.
* Solid understanding and experience with SQL. Ability to write, execute, and analyze SQL queries. MySQL experience is a plus.
* Excellent knowledge of XML.
* Hands on experience of working with one or more test automation tools.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
* Hands on experience with both Windows and Linux.
* Hands-on with one or more source control tools.
* BA/BAS in computer science or related field.
