Java Application Engineer

The ideal candidate will have experience with multi-tier website development using Java/J2EE technologies. The candidate will be an individual contributor within the software development team responsible for analysis, design, programming, testing, documentation and implementation of new product features. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the delivery of entire development initiatives for a U.S. employment matching website. This website was founded in October 2006 and has grown swiftly since that time, attracting the attention of investors such as Brian Swette, former COO of Ebay, and Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn.

Responsibilities
|
* Must be familiar with advanced principles of object oriented analysis, design and programming.
* Experience with multi-tier website development in a Java/J2EE environment, including experience with Hibernate, Struts, and Web Services.
* Expert knowledge of relational databases, including schema design and advanced queries. MySQL experience is a plus.
* Expert knowledge of XML.
* Excellent time management skills and ability to take responsibility for deliverables.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
* Hands on experience with both Windows and Linux .
* Hands-on with one or more source control tools.
* BA/BAS in computer science or related field. |
