Truck Driver
Seeking evening-shift CDL-B route drivers for the Woodridge, IL area!

This fast growing company has been in business for over 50 years, beginning in 1955 and has over 900 proud employees. Today, their deli products are sold across the US in 25,000 retail outlets. As the manufacturer of the #1 selling deli brand, they are the leading supplier to the convenience store industry. As a result of continued rapid expansion they are once again adding experienced CDL-B route drivers to their growing fleet.
Great Position
Drivers deliver grocery products such as bread, milk, snacks, and sandwiches to convenience stores throughout Chicago and suburbs. Shifts start at 8pm and end by 5am with drivers averaging 8-9 hours per shift. Drivers work 5 days per week including possible Saturday or Sunday. Drivers make up to 15 stops per shift depending on the route. Drivers unload using a pallet-jack or hand-dolly. Trucks are late model, 24ft straight trucks with automatic transmissions. Drivers use hydraulic lift gate at each stop for unloading and should have lift gate experience.
Freight consists of items typically found in convenience stores and drug stores. Deliveries are made through the front door at each location. Drivers are not responsible for stocking shelves but are responsible for accurately completing paperwork. Drivers also picks up "return items" and empties at each store. At the end of each route, drivers must empty returned items from truck. Drivers Must be able to work unsupervised in a fast paced environment and must be comfortable driving in all weather conditions.
Compensation
$14.68 per hour to start

Requirements

6 months delivery driving experience
Ability to lift 75 lbs
No DUI's
Good math skills
Ability to deliver in Chicago and suburbs
Ability to make all delivery windows
Ability to work in temperatures as low as 38 degrees for deliveries in to coolers |
