The University of Florida’s College of Fine Arts seeks a dynamic and creative leader to direct the School of Music and sustain an environment of artistic and academic excellence at one of the nation’s top public universities.
The ideal candidate will provide a comprehensive vision for the School, manage and develop the School’s resources, lead and guide a diverse and distinguished faculty in a collegial environment of shared governance, support and expand the School’s programs, and facilitate innovation in teaching, research, and learning.
The College seeks applications and nominations from a broad spectrum of individuals including women, members of diverse ethnic groups, and persons with disabilities, and traditional and nontraditional backgrounds. The successful candidate will have a terminal degree in music, or equivalent experience, established artistic or scholarly reputation in music, and a record of excellence in administration, resource management, marketing/promotion of university music programs, and program development, expansion, and evaluation.
