PROJECT DRAFTSPERSON
Locations: Calgary, Toronto and Ottawa

Job Summary:
• Develop and prepare drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering design and other data.
• Create detailed drawings for building structures using AutoCAD.
• Perform structural and architectural design layouts and modifications to drawings as required by the Project Manager
• Interact with structural & restoration engineering to obtain project requirements (timetable and man-hour budget) for drafting
• Check drawings against the architectural drawings for compatibility and completeness
• Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets
• File drawings after completion of working drawings
• Maintain drafting standards
• Record activities on each project for reference on invoices
Qualifications:
• A minimum 1 - 3 years of practical experience in a drafting role with a civil firm
• A graduate of a Civil Engineering, Architectural or Drafting Technology program
• Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD. Exposure to MicroStation is an asset
• Candidates shall have a base knowledge of structures built with wood, concrete, steel, and a variety of foundation systems
