A team of professionally qualified individuals will need to support the Shared Services Organization 24 x 7. Since core functionality of the team will be managing the Cisco Voice solution we’ve deployed, a Certified Voice Professional is minimally required. These two positions are Senior because they will be working alone on their shifts with no supervision and thus require the deeper knowledge and techniques of a seasoned professional with 6 to 8 years. Additionally, as the SSO moves forward they will be working projects that will involve deeper knowledge for developing reference, logical, and directional architectures.

Responsibilities
• Administers multi-user computer systems/networks in order to control systems and realize maximum utilization and efficiency.
• Plans, develops, coordinates, and manages complex projects in order to achieve team information systems objectives.
• Assists in developing agency strategic plans for related information systems in cooperation with agency management, internal and external personnel, vendor representatives, consultants, and user/client community in order to develop integrated information systems.
• Researches, designs, installs, and configures multi-layered computer systems/networks composed of multi-user operating, communications, and applications systems in order to establish information systems capable of fulfilling agency requirements.
• Develops and recommends policies and procedures concerning system security and user operations in order to ensure system and data integrity and adherence to state and agency information system standards.
• Oversees development and implementation of training programs on an agency-wide basis in order to ensure personnel possess required knowledge of systems applications, operations, and capabilities.
• Assigns, directs, oversees, and evaluates the work of subordinate technical and support personnel in order to ensure work meets established standards and systems operate effectively.
• Advises internal and external technical support personnel in the diagnosis and correction of system problems, upgrades, or expansions in order to assist in resolving problems.

Requirements
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Eight (8) years experience performing systems administration functions in a LAN/WAN environment -OR- an Associate’s Degree in computer information systems or directly related field and six (6) years experience performing systems administration functions in a LAN/WAN environment -OR- a Bachelors Degree in computer information systems or directly related field and four (4) years experience performing systems administration functions in a LAN/WAN environment.
Cisco Certified Voice Professional with at least six years experience managing Cisco voice solutions. A combination of two years Avaya voice solutions and four years Cisco voice solutions will be considered.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Some travel domestically and occasional travel to the US for IT Ops Reviews

ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Very good writing skills with very good reading comprehension

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Some customary lifting of computer devices may be necessary in order to configure devices.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Cubicle and shifting

• Knowledge of system back-up and data security techniques.
• Knowledge of advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution techniques.

• Ability to train personnel in all phases of system support, utilization, and applications.
• Ability to manage projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively at the technical and non-technical level.
• Ability to research, design, and develop complex computer systems.
• Ability to solve complex technical computer problems.
• Ability to perform research and make recommendations to management on technical computer issues.
• Ability to perform work requiring lifting and/or physical exertion may be required.
