Senior Electrical Engineer
|
Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering and architecture firm.
|
Responsibilities
|
1) Act as the lead Electrical Engineer for a wide range of projects
2) Handle projects related to water and wastewater treatment plants
3) Work on projects for large office buildings, laboratories, manufacturing facilities and municipal government facilities
4) Make presentations to clients and corporate management
5) Serve as a Project Manager for electrical projects
6) Supervise electrical designers and CAD operators |
Requirements
|
1) BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university (MS degree preferred)
2) P. Eng license in Virginia or ability to become licensed in Virginia by reciprocity (LEED AP registration preferred)
3) Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical designing with an A/E firm (electrical or municipal utility or industry)
4) Knowledge of water and wastewater instrumentation system
5) Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation a plus
6) Knowledge of electrical construction practices (as the firm provides construction administration services)
7) Knowledge of designing typical 208/120V and 480/277V electrical systems
8) Expertise in designing power feeders, panelboards, switchboards, switchgear, motor control centers, motor control circuits, fire alarm systems and lighting systems
9) Knowledge of 15 kV and above medium voltage distribution systems
10) Knowledge of the National Electrical Code, National Fire Alarm Code and the International Building Code
11) Good people skills
12) US citizenship
