Our client’s field of practice includes port and terminal planning and designing, bulk materials handling, maritime and offshore structures, industrial structures, coastal processes, bridges and civil structures, site development and utilities, electrical and controls, and inspections. The company also specializes in smaller scale, local projects for a range of clients in both the public and private sectors. Their Canadian head office is located in Vancouver, BC and the US head office is in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities

1) Prepare proposals
2) Participate in engineering projects, technological choices, and proposed solutions from project planning to implementation
3) Ensure quality of professional services and maintain a good relationship with clients
4) Handle business relationships and the quality of professional services
5) Participate in major projects
6) Decide on work methods and guidelines
7) Handle inspections and technical surveys
8) Implement means and conditions to successfully achieve projects
9) Optimize the use of personnel

Requirements

1) BS in Mechanical Engineering
2) P. Eng. license
3) 5+ years of experience in materials handling, heavy industrial, bridge, and/or infrastructure projects preferred
4) Construction experience
