Litigation Counsel Duties: Will be responsible for handling a variety of litigation-related matters. Works with other attorneys and legal staff and with the business partners to manage lawsuits and other claims. Closely manages outside counsel and budgets. Performs legal research and drafts/reviews legal documents and discovery. Conducts detailed and complex case investigation and discovery. Evaluates and assesses legal risks involving the organization. Primarily responsible for general business litigation, consumer suits and class actions, product and premises liability cases, as well as intellectual property litigation, employment litigation and other legal areas. Works on assignments that are complex in nature where independent judgment is required. Requirements: 4-7 years of related experience in law firm or corporate legal environment is preferred. A J.D. degree and one state Bar admission.
