Data Entry Clerk - Telecommute

A large office supply and resource provider has FT/PT computer clerical and data entry positions. The ideal Candidate must be a self starter and have basic computer and typing skills. Looking for someone with strong computer skills with the ablity to manage large databases.

Responsibilities
|
Performs office or clerical duties that are moderately complex. Follows set procedures and may exercise some independent judgment in carrying out instructions. Examples of work performed may include preparing routine correspondence, compiling report data, verifying data, completing forms or reports, answering phones, distributing mail, or filing.
- Would be nice if person understands Formation Asset Management and handling a clinical type of database.
- The incumbent will operates a data entry device to record or verify a variety of standard and/or complex coded or uncoded business and statistical source data into a computer. |

Home Office Requirements:
2.8 GHZ Processor (minimum of a Pentium 4 processor or equivalent processor running at a clock speed of 2.8 GHz)
1 GB of RAM for Windows XP users
2 GB of RAM for Vista users
12 GB of Available Hard drive space
Additional equipment requirements include:
Monitor - 17" Flat Panel Display recommended (capable of 1280 x 1024), 15" min.
At least one free USB port on PC
USB Headset with built in digital signal processor (recommended model types: Plantronics .Audio 750, Plantronics .Audio 650, Plantronics .Audio 625) available locally, or through the Dell store on this site
Wired router - such as those sold under the brand names Belkin, Linksys
Computer Software requirements:
Windows XP or Vista Operating system
Internet Explorer 6.0 SP2 or better
Minimum Windows Media Player 9.0*
Adobe Flash player plug-in version 9.0 or above installed*
Minimum Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0* |
Qualifications
|
5+ Years with HS
Must be efficient in Office 2007 (Excel and Outlook).
Able to work independently yet seek advice when needed.
Experience with phone conversations to gather information.
Knowledge of database design a plus. |
