Estimation Manager - Elevator : Al Futtaim Group

In this role the Estimation Manager will be responsible to manage the preparation/approval of estimates for elevator and escalator projects complete in all respects including costs as well as technical deliverables which will be provided to Sales for submission and negotiations with customers. The job includes: * Evaluation of tenders and BOQ * Review contract and commercial terms and asses risks * Identify suitable equipments from the Principals which can be offered for the projects * Prepare accurate cost estimation and competitive techno -commercial offers based on offers from Principals * Review and approve estimates for submission * Perform detailed tender review with GM prior to submission * Identify and build relationship with suppliers for local portion of the works * Lead a team of highly experienced individuals * Preparation of extension of time and variation estimation * Analyze Project P & L and Cash flow, and offer innovative solutions for cost management * Handover of approved final cost estimation along with all relevant drawings etc to Execution team. * Coordinate with Project Execution team and commercial for monitoring costs, preparation of estimation for variation works, valuations and claims * Generate and maintain a culture of continuous improvement * Interpret and follow Company tendering processes and procedures to ensure all aspects of tenders are met including relevant discipline codes and standardsTo be sucessful in this role, you should meet the following requirement: * Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering * At least 10 years experience in the vertical transportation industry, experience with Hitachi elevators will be a definite plus * Ability to co -ordinate all tendering functions to ensure good liaison and co -operation between internal departments and external clients * Drive and desire to produce innovative winning solutions * Excellent business and commercial acumen * A self -motivated, enthusiastic leader with strong leadership and organizational skills * Ability to prepare and present cost effective programs * Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills * Excellent competency in English language & PC skills * Ability to work under stress and long hours as well as computer skillsJobs in Dubai
