One of the largest Regional Law Firms in the UAE is currently undergoing an expansion of its practices across the MENA, they are looking for an experienced Director to drive their successful development.
Policies and Procedure
The successful individual must be able to set up and maintain the core policies and procedures essential for the effective administration of a legal practice of the size and nature of the Firm. - -
2. - - - - - - Responsibility for -Support Staff - -
Supervises and coordinates the work of subordinate supervisors and other staff, including reviewing work performance, motivating subordinates to work more effectively, identifying problems with performance and developing solutions to those problems, determining training needs to improve performance, initiating informal measures to correct misconduct or making recommendations for formal discipline.
3. - - - - - - HR functions -
Direct line supervisor to the HR department. - Sets up, implements and maintains budget and strategy planning for the HR Department and monitors the performance of the HR department. - -
4. - - - - - - IT functions -
Direct line supervisor to the IT Department. Monitors the performance of the IT department. Assists in the planning and budget preparation for IT initiatives.
5. - - - - - - Managing external relationships
The director will be responsible for establishing and managing relationship with external vendors, service providers to the Firm, tending to the requirements of regulatory and government authorities.
6. - - - - - - Resource/Information management -
Responsibility for the creation and maintenance of library and IT resources, precedent and template development, records managements and arrangement, online subscriptions, DMS etc.
-7. - - - - - - Management of premises and equipment issues -
Responsible for resource allocation including organization of office space, equipment maintenance/purchase
-8. - - - - - - Budgeting -
Assists in the preparation and maintenance of the office budget.
-9. - - - - - - Client relationship -
Should be point of contact and maintains the Firm's client's relations
10. - - - Quality control - -
Elements such as controls, job management, defined and well managed processes Soft elements, such as personnel integrity, confidence, organizational culture, motivation, team spirit, and quality relationships.
