Our client is a well respected oil and gas company operating throughout the entire Middle East. This role will be responsible for managing and leading audit assignments regionally and within the agreed internal audit plan. Experience and exposure to the oil and gas industry is a definite advantage in understanding operational requirements and complexities. Responsibilities include audit reviews of administrative, commercial, technical, management processes and systems and ensuring these activities are aligned with company goals and management objectives. In doing this, you will be responsible for carrying out activities such as improving the audit function and be involved in areas such as developing audit assignments, risk management processes, compliance, providing independent assurance and recommendations to the Board and executive management. To be considered for this role, you should have approximately 10 to 12 years experience in an internal audit function within the energy sector, especially exploration and production or with any of the big four audit firms having exploration and production client exposure. You will need to be a fully qualified Accountant: CA, CPA, CIMA and /or ACCA, and with relevant audit qualifications: CIA, CISA, etc. Please only apply if you meet the above criteria, as candidates with oil and gas experience will be given preference.
