Experience & Qualifications

At least 3 years professional IT experience and tertiary qualifications in IT (prefer degree qualification but not essential)

Responsibilities

Undertake all software development activities in the manner directed by the Development Manager/Team Leader and in accordance with the requirements described in a technical specification.

Accountability
To the Manager for performing all tasks assigned within the time frame agreed upon and in accordance with company policies and procedures, so far as it is within your control

Requirements

Technical Skills

RPGII, RPGIII, RPGIV (essential)
LANSA (preferred but optional)
SQL (optional)
HTML, javascript, XML (optional)
Sound understanding of Web Architecture
Working knowledge of IBM iSeries (AS/400) and Windows operating systems.
Experience with payroll applications would be an advantage

Professional Skills & Outlook
Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
Consistently produce work of high quality standards (both programming and technical documentation)
Communicate issues/concerns through appropriate channels
Maintain a positive attitude towards his/her work, management and peers. Able to handle frustrations and disappointments in a positive constructive manner.
