Intertek Group Plc is a laboratory services company providing testing and certification
services to industry around the world since 1885. Today, worldwide, Intertek’s 400 offices and
200 analytical testing laboratories serve over 120 countries.

Intertek Bristol was established in 2007 with a staff of 3 people. In 4 years this has grown to a
total of 8 staff with the aim of expanding further.

A place has become available for a material science or metallurgist graduate to join this
growing and dynamic laboratory team that has great opportunities for expansion.

The ideal candidate needs to be self motivated, well organised and have a high attention
to detail as the lab holds ISO17025 and UKAS accreditations, and maintaining these high
standards are essential for the laboratory team.

The role that is available encompasses a great deal of metallographic work including
microscopy, therefore experience of using a microscope is essential.

Experience or knowledge of Nickel alloys, coatings and metallographic microstructures would
be beneficial, although this is not necessary as training will be given from other members of
the laboratory team.

A familiarity with techniques such as Vickers hardness testing, metallographic etching and
scanning electron microscopy would also be beneficial but again is not necessary.

The successful candidate will have to show a high level of knowledge in their relevant field
of interest and should show how this could be reflected in a metallurgist role at Intertek. The
candidate selected for this role will also be able to demonstrate they can work well in a team
as well as individually and have a high attention to detail.

Salary will be determined upon experience of the successful candidate.

Should you wish to be considered for this role, please send a covering letter and CV to
Alex.Johnson@Intertek.com(Our ref : SR3835f6000b44931 )
