Senior Business Development Executive
BASIC FUNCTION
* Responsible for developing, planning, scheduling, conducting, evaluating, and implementing all marketing/sales activities within the Malaysia, in order to create and maintain an independent distribution system.
* This involves working with importers, distributors, construction firms, plumbers, contractors, special multinational buying groups, and other users, in accordance with established company policies, planned sales volume, profitability, strategic planning, financial planning and after sales service goals.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Supervisory Relationships:
* Reports to : GM & Commercial Director-South East Asia
Organizations Relationships:
Frequent contacts with:
* Marketing team on all marketing activities and potential, new products and competitors.
*Customer Service Centre on orders and shipments.
* Accounting Manager on credit limit and customer’s payments.
External Business Relationships:
* Has continuous contact with principals and employees of importers / distributors.
* Has frequent contact with plumbing contractors, general contractors, builders, architects and interior designers and key end users.

Responsibilities
|
* Established personal contact, and maintain an on-site relationship with distributors who are buying, exhibiting, selling and servicing the company’ plumbing products
* Establish and maintain regular contact with sub-distributors, plumbing contractors, key national and multinational construction companies, architects, interior designers, developers and key buying organizations.
* Develop a broad base distribution network for the company’s plumbing products through expanding distributors’ showrooms or dealers’ outlets.
* Provide guidance, review the company’s practices and procedures, develop sales / marketing programs with sales and marketing team, distributors’ management team, their sub-distributors and their key buyers.
* Provide training and assist in resolving specific questions or problems regarding the sales programs, installation and after sales technical issues.
* Analyze and evaluate assigned area regarding sales trends, sales potentials, competition, economic/business conditions, and distributor performance.
* Advise the management in relation to the termination or increase of the credit limit of the company’s distributors and also ensure that all receivables are kept current.
* Annually prepare for the department an updated strategic plan and financial plan for the assigned market.
* Work closely with K&B Group, Asia Pacific’s Marketing Department to develop and implement local marketing support program, to aid plumbing product sales and to increase the recognition of the company’s various plumbing brand names.
* Act as an extension of the marketing department’s responsibility to compile usable information on the Malaysia plumbing market.
* Work with marketing department to create effective promotional program with/for our distributors, recommend budget for advertising and promotion.
* Conduct distributors’ warehouse and on site consumer inspection where requested or as required.
* Prepare various correspondences, reports and forms relating to daily activities, expenses, claims, etc.
* Perform any assignment given by the company. |
Requirements
|
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
* Sales and marketing experience within the sanitary-ware or building materials trade required.
* Knowledge of sanitary-ware distribution approach in the Malaysia and experience in selling products into this distribution network highly preferred. |
Qualifications
|
* Must possess strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Mature, self driven and result oriented.
* Must be willing to travel regularly throughout the Malaysia.
* A University Degree.
* Must be conversant in English. |
