TITLE:

Carpentry and Cabinetmaking Supervisor (NOC: 7215)

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Evening

SALARY:

$30.00 to $40.00 Hourly, 40.00 Hours per week

Workers Supervised:

Carpenters, Cabinetmakers, Apprentices, Trades helpers, Labourers

Specific Skills:

Supervise workers and projects, Coordinate and schedule activities, Train or arrange for training, Recommend staffing actions, Ensure adherence to safety standards, Manage own company, Set up equipment

Additional Skills:

Prepare production and other reports, Oversee apprenticeship training, Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions, Estimate material and labour costs, Prepare bids, Operate CADD systems

Work Site Environment:

Outdoors, Noisy

Requirements

Credentials: Cabinetmaker Trade Certification, Carpenter Trade Certification, Driver's License, CADD Course. Experience: 5 years or more. Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English. Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning. Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Eligible for professional liability insurance. Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure. Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Own vehicle. Other: Knowledge of KitchenDraw, AutoCAD, SEMA-software, Photoshop, with the ability to go from design to build.

Qualifications

Education:
Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
