Legal Secretary The candidate should be an experienced Legal Secretary to support multiple lawyers. In addition to General secretarial duties, responsibilities include the following: knowledge of the CT court system and e-filing requirements; preparation of correspondence, memoranda and other Legal documents, such as Motions, Interrogatories, Appearances, subpoenas,; time entry into Elite, Maintenance of client files, calendar Management, and monthly client billing. Associate's degree is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Should have 5+ years of litigation experience experience in additional practice areas preferred. Must have experience with Microsoft Office. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills will be required. Ability to work under deadlines and handle several assignments at one time; ability to a dapt to changing priorities will be required. Strong oral and written communication skills will be required. Should be a team player and detail-oriented.

This New England firm has a mid-sized Boston office that is principally focused on litigation. In fact, these Boston lawyers are better able to handle litigation outside the typical commerical litigation (family, construction, etc.) than most similarly sized firms. In fact, the litigators here consider themselves trial lawyers, which represents a refreshing willingness to go to the courthouse if necessary--even at the most junior levels. Although the offices could be more posh and comfortable, associates with a committement to the New England area like the parochial nature of the firm and the relative predictability of lifestyle and hours.
