Job Responsibilities and Requirements: This position will provide high-level Administrative and logistical support to the Director for the Center for Brain Science (CBS) and his 15-person neuroscience research laboratory, which has a major animal population. Partner with core Staff members of CBS and the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB). Lab operation duties include but are not limited to scheduling scientific instrument Maintenance; maintaining lab supply inventory; and maintaining relationships with lab personnel, postdoctoral fellows, students, and vendors. Financial duties include but are not limited to ordering and tracking supplies including controlled substances, animals, and science kits; paying and reconciling vendor invoices, corporate card payments, and reimbursements; monitoring receivables; investigating accounting and order discrepancies; and managing monthly per diem billing allocations for affiliated centers and Bauer core billing. Administrative duties include but are not limited to initiating new appointments, visas, and hires while coordinating with HIO, MCB, and CBS administrations; assisting with grant preparation and Management; typing and/or processing text such as letters, reports, memoranda, and course materials; managing correspondence; coordinating and communicating weekly Neurolunch events; and Drafting and distributing biweekly CBS newsletter. This position partners with members of the Financial, Administrative, and personnel core Staff at MCB and CBS to coordinate and promote efficient Operations and communication. Basic Qualifications Minimum of at least three years' experience in an academic Office environment Additional Qualifications Bachelor s degree strongly preferred. Coordination in a research or educational setting preferred.
