Job Responsibilities and Requirements: This position is responsible for leading the support of the design, implementation, and Maintenance of analytical solutions; supporting end-to-end analysis development, Management, and Delivery of advanced analytical solutions; providing statistical expertise; interfacing between various business and technical teams to understand requirements and design solutions; work closely with customers to build relationships; and continuously gaining a deeper understanding of data contained in the repositories and use of the data in order to build analytical solutions to meet business needs. Job Requirements 1) Bachelor Degree and 3 years experience with data analysis and manipulation OR 5 years experience with data analysis and manipulation; 2) 4 years experience in SQL and SAS; 3) 5 years of data analysis and information reporting experience, including 2 years obtaining an understanding of information repository issues and concepts; 4) Experience creating clear and concise project documentation; 5) Knowledge of relational database concepts, and the creation of queries and reports using SAS, and SQL or reporting tools (i.e., Cognos); 6) Understanding of data elements and data quality requirements; 7) Strong statistical analysis skills and proven experience in applying these skills; 8) Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously both independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals; 9) Strong interpersonal, presentation, verbal, written and communication skills; 10) Understanding of statistical concepts with an ability to apply to business problems. Preferred Skills Preference will be given to applicants with the following skills, experience, education, or knowledge: 1) 3 years of SAS Base and 5 years of SAS Stat experience; 2) Advanced degree in a relevant discipline; 3) Insurance Industry experience or equivalent; 4) Experience using SAS/ETS and/or Enterprise Miner; 5) Knowledge of and experience using a wide variety of multivariate, statistical, data mining and/or forecasting techniques (for example, factor analysis, structural equation modeling, survival analysis, time series analysis/ARIMA, simulation techniques, classification trees, neural networks); 6) Demonstrated leadership potential.
