Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Clinical Account Specialist (CAS) is accountable to provide technical and Clinical support to health care providers and laboratory Staff for the full Cordis Vascular Portfolio. The CAS supports and educates Medical Staff in Product operating procedures to maximize quality and increase efficacy of treatments used to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions. The CAS is responsible to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with physicians, hospital, & laboratory Staff in order to identify and foster interest in new products or Product indications to grow and develop the company's Product and Technology utilization. The CAS partners with Division Managers, Corporate Account Directors (CAD's) and sales Representatives to ensure alignment and coordination of activities to meet business objectives. Under the General direction of the Manager and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position will provide expert Clinical assistance and training to physicians and Lab Staff on the effective use of Cordis Vascular products during case procedures within an assigned geography. The CAS will educate customers on all Cordis Vascular products to optimize effective usage and to identify potential sales opportunities within the customer Account by providing technical and Clinical information and in-service training. Share best practices to increase value for customers. Maintain consistent, open lines of communication across the geography with team (DM, CAD, SR) and other partners. Develop and share best practices throughout CAS team and with field colleagues. Develop and grow mutually beneficial customer relationships within and beyond the lab, including, but not limited to physicians, nurses and technicians, Clinical and hospital administrators and Staff. Identify difficult cases with practitioners that potentially warrant alternative approaches to maximize use of Cordis Vascular tools and capabilities. Additional responsibilities including sharing best practices gleaned from solutions as appropriate, and to maximize effectiveness of the team. Prioritize and appropriately respond to requests in a high-stress environment. Maintain composure and problem solving focus during stressful interactions. Provide effective Clinical and technical education to internal partners. Effectively adjust approach to a variety of styles and levels of expertise regarding Clinical acumen, complex cases, technical knowledge, and troubleshooting techniques. Engage in diagnostic dialogue with multiple internal and external business partners and stakeholders. Formulate solutions based on dialogue and input gained during session. Provide mentoring for new CORDIS Vascular Commercial team members as requested. Respond daily to requests by email and voicemail from customers, practitioners and partners. Perform Administrative work, including managing Account documentation, compliance training requirements, expense reporting, and Company system input. Maintain Safe Fleet standards according to Company guidelines. Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next Management level. Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures; Performs other duties assigned as needed. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree or RN or PA-C or CNP or equivalent experience. MBA is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience working (i.e., sales, Clinical, Management, etc.) is required; Vascular Surgery, Interventional Radiology, or Cath lab experience is preferred. Must have and maintain advanced Clinical knowledge of cardiovascular procedures, Technology, advancements, and the business landscape. Must be able to maintain Clinical knowledge of healthcare Industry, disease states, and therapeutic and institutional trends. Candidates must have a valid Driver's license issued in one of the 50 States and a clean driving record. Ability to Travel up to 30% is necessary, which may include overnight and/or weekend Travel. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to excel within a results and performance driven environment with a balanced base and variable compensation package. Must able to successfully complete all Company training programs and pass the Company certification process. Must complete continuing education requirements in order to remain eligible for employment. Preference will be given to candidates living within 30 miles of the posted geography.
