SIF Facilitator

Responsibilities
The candidate shall chair/facilitate the SIL assessment studies. This includes:

1.General

a.Team alignment and coaching, ensure balanced input by all team members

b.Ensuring structured discussions

c.Assessment if data is realistic and challenge where necessary

d.Manage issues, actions

2.Functional Failure Classification

a.Introduction of subject to team

b.Explanation unit controls/ safeguarding (by process engineer)

c.Definition of SIF and design intent

d.Develop demand scenario using the correct application of Layer Of Protection Analysis

e.Assessment of consequences of failure on demand

f.Determining SIL

g.Definition of subsystems and success criteria

Requirements
Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years experience in the petrochemical industry. A thorough understanding of technologies and practices as they relate to oil and gas production process and facilities. Candidates must be skilled in leading SIL assessment in accordance with IEC 61511 and/or 61508 and be skilled in application of Layer Of Protection Analysis. Knowledge of DEP 32.80.10.10Gen is preferred. You must also have experience in the design and application of control, safeguarding and fire and gas detection systems.
