The person’s role and responsibilities:
- Promote from a technical sales perspective CA’s Service Assurance portfolio
- Consultative selling approach: understand the real challenges prospects are facing and put together the right solutions around CA’s technology to address the customer challenges, then together with the sales team prove and convince the customer into buying it.
- Present SA portfolio based Solutions, Perform Demos, respond to RPI/ RFPs, perform Proof of Concepts, Pilots
- Enable and support partners through sales cycles
- Represent CA and position our technology at tradeshows, speaking engagements
- Occasionally participate into post sales activities (support and implementation)

Skills :
• Web developers very good understanding of all major Webservers (IIS, Appache, Oracle, IBM etc)
• Very strong in Java, Java scripts, and .net, C++ possibly an ex developer
• Extremely strong with WebSphere, Weblogic, JBoss,
• Very good understanding and operations of Databases (Oracle, MS SQL) and LDAPs (AD, Sun LDAP, OID etc)
• Scripting perlCatle, shell script
• Good understanding of how networks work especially L4 switches, Firewalls, routers
• Very good understanding of OS : Solaris, Windows server, Linux, (optionally AIX, HPUX)
• Understanding PCI, ISO 27K, security concepts obviously
Presales soft skills:
• Presentation
• consultative selling,
• Ability to roll up the sleeves and figure out issues on his own
• etc
