Document Automation Specialist The candidate will focus on streamlining the Drafting, review and Management of Legal documents through document automation and workflow enhancement. Attorneys and other Legal Staff will then leverage the document automation systems and the enhanced workflow processes to more efficiently and effectively deliver Legal documents to firm clients. Will work closely with KM Attorneys and Staff and with IT, and has regular interaction with firm attorneys. Work directly with the KM Technology team, KM Attorneys, and IT to create automated documents using DealBuilder/ContractExpress or other document assembly technologies. Work directly with KM Attorneys and other attorneys to ensure content is maintained and updated as needed. Help develop internal best practices, including, system design, process, reuse and Quality Assurance; help construct and maintain document templates and clause libraries; Work with KM Staff, business leads and attorneys to align automated documents with firm needs and provide input in the selection, Planning and staging of projects. Create training materials for and train others on the document automation system, as needed, advocate the use of automated documents to those outside the KM Group, where appropriate and act as a point of escalation for users troubleshooting document assembly system functionality or the output from these systems. The candidate needs to stay abreast of developments within the document assembly space and provide corresponding suggestions to others in the KM Group for improving program effectiveness, manage document automation usage, including: Monitoring and responding to attorney feedback and requests and providing recommendations for template and system enhancements and modifications based on usage information. Will be responsible for performing and arranging for system Maintenance as needed. Will perform other projects as assigned, including supporting internal KM systems as needed. Paralegal degree preferred. 3+ years of Employment Law-related experience and a Bachelor's degree is needed. Must be proficient in DealBuilder/ContractExpress, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with SharePoint preferred.
