Bankruptcy Paralegal Duties: Works under General supervision, and according to established policies and procedures. Provides case and file Management support for the bankruptcy attorneys in the litigation practice group. Interacts with colleagues in the practice group and upholds the image of the Firm by maintaining positive contact with clients, attorneys, Paralegals and Staff and by observing confidentiality of client matters. Prepare Petition and Schedules, proofs of claim, fee applications and other routine motions and pleadings. Prepare Service Lists, Certificates of Service, Notices of Motion and Proposed Orders. Perform General Westlaw/Lexis research. PACER document retrieval and electronic Court filing of pleadings. Claims analysis. Assist with all phases of litigation in bankruptcy adversary proceedings.

Requirements : Undergraduate degree, with 5 years of experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal. Familiarity with Chapter 11 Plan documents, Cite checking, leadings/memoranda, Document Production, Litigation case Management. Familiarity with Foreclosures - Circuit Court of Cook County. Proficiency with Word and Excel. (Casemap, Textmap or Ringtail, BestCase, and TCMS a plus). Excellent oral and written communication skills.
