Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Integrated Planning and Evaluation Provides complex integrated systems Planning and recommends alternative technologies that will enhance current or anticipated information systems that support overall corporate and business goals. Oversees the development of plans for integration of new systems architecture into current infrastructure. Ensures the review and design concepts for new systems and develops and documents the technical design for the integration and implementation of the software. Oversees the development of plans for integration of new systems architecture into current infrastructure. Provides complex logical/physical input to Operations areas to enable integration of new systems into current infrastructure. Provides technical direction and support for complex, cross-functional configuration projects. Works on issues that impact design/selling success or address future concepts, products, or technologies. Serves as a technical resource to help define, estimate, and propose solutions for business problems. Determines how to leverage Technology to create solutions that satisfy business requirements. Business Requirements Business Process Analysis. Ensures the appropriate business process assessment and analysis is completed to identify business process gaps and impacts as they pertain directly to projects and programs. Highly experienced at negotiating and collaborating with key project leaders to identify subject matter experts and resources necessary to complete business requirements. Strongly influences the business by demonstrating a clear understanding of the business needs and the technologies that can be used to appropriately accommodate their requirements. Brings structure to the process of requirements gathering. Uses standard techniques and tools to gather business and technical requirements in an organized and repeatable process. Understands purpose, data requirements, system of record and integration points of information systems for the design of Enterprise solutions. Designs the information and system architecture, integrating information systems into a larger solution. Validates design and manages the vision of the Enterprise solution. Functional & Application Release Requirements Provides direction and guidance to those assigned to defining functional requirements. Responsible for the content and quality of the functional requirements by facilitating reviews with subject matter experts. Ensures traceability is maintained to the higher level requirement for each functional requirement. Directs and coordinates the activities and resources necessary to drive the process deep enough to uncover the appropriate set of functional requirements. Development of Solution Recommendations/Alternatives Consults and directs identification of alternative uses of technologies that will enhance current or anticipated information systems and that support overall corporate and business goals that are appropriately aligned with the enterprise architecture. Identifies and recommends necessary changes to current business process. Keeps abreast of leading and emerging software products and technologies as well as Industry standards that could support SH/healthcare business. Leverages existing skills and knowledge to research new technologies and methodologies. Compares and evaluates the design and capabilities of multiple system components (e.g., architecture, network, Operations and Communications). May participate in outside standards setting organizations. Management of Client Expectations Communicates the business partners expectations toward the timeliness and quality of the work products being recommended. Accountable for the content, correctness, completeness, and accuracy of the deliverables. Solutions, Designs, Estimates, and Alternative Analysis Leverages knowledge, expertise and experience to facilitate the development of robust client solutions. Understands purpose, data requirements, system of record and integration points of information systems for the design of Enterprise solutions. Develops strategies and plans to assess impact and potential risk. Develops strategies for solution sharing and re-use solutions. Directs strategy development for the implementation of the solution, risk evaluation, and alternative solution design for large projects/programs/initiatives with cross portfolio implications. Designs the information and system architecture, integrating information systems into a larger solution. Validates design and manages the vision of the Enterprise solution. As well as Database development Builds databases, stored procedures and scripts in support of EDW solutions designed by Data Warehouse Architects. Supports development Staff during the build of EDW. Recommends database and fields naming conventions. Assists in the development of database extracts. Documents database Models, scripts, stored procedures, promotion procedures and system architecture. Establishes development guidelines designed to maintain optimum performance. Advises Information Management Solutions Architect in the creation of development guidelines. Takes a new perspective on existing solutions, recommending new procedures and processes to achieve results. Performance tuning and monitoring of databases Establishes guidelines for query structure to maintain adequate performance.
