Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Advisor Compensation Data Specialist provides back-office, operational support to the Advisor Compensation Department. Contact is primarily with the Advisor Compensation Specialist. Occasional contact with external customers may be required with vendors from whom commissions are remitted. On rare occasions contact with an Advisor may be required. A great attention to detail is required due to the large amount of data processed and the negative effect upon the trust in 1st Global should chronic errors occur. The work in the Advisor Compensation Department is shared among the group, and certain individuals may have sole responsibility for one or more job duties, which is subject to change depending upon business needs. Essential Functions All responsibilities are generally performed on a daily basis, unless otherwise noted. The Advisor Compensation Data Specialist is responsible for entering any manual commission data prioritized for entry within the department. Non-Essential Functions As needed, the Advisor Compensation Data Specialist will identify and recommend ideas for process and procedure improvements. Must have strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel. Must have ability to learn new software programs, including proprietary software. High school diploma preferred. Must be detail-oriented. Must possess strong math skills. Must be self-starter; able to multi-task; able to work efficiently in very fast-paced environment.
