PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of Area Sales Manager – Cambodia within our ASEAN Regional Sales Team. You will be based in, or close to, Phnom Penh within driving distance of your main customers. Portwest is one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world currently employing over 5,100 staff worldwide, with customer service staff in over 160 countries and 8 Global warehouses in UK, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain, UAE, USA and Australia. We design, manufacture and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities.

 

YOUR NEW ROLE

As the Area Sales Manager for Cambodia, you will bring your PPE and/or workwear experience to sell Portwest products to distributors reporting into the Regional Sales Manager. We have had extensive growth over the past number of years and we are looking for you to join to continue this growth trajectory in a new location for us.

 

Among your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Develop an ambitious sales plan to maximise growth in your territory
  • Build quality relationships with new and existing customers who are distributors, resellers and agents
  • Conduct daily face-to-face sales calls to distributors including agenda setting, product demonstrations and post meeting follow-ups
  • Identify accounts with high growth potential and devise an account plan to maximise sales
  • Develop strong product knowledge and engage in consultative selling by understanding and selling to distributor needs
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
  • Focus on product vitality and aim to sell new product lines in conjunction with the company’s stipulated target
  • Ensure follow-up after each sales meeting to close each sale in a timely manner
  • Meet weekly and monthly sales targets in line with management’s expectation
  • Continue to develop your product knowledge through our online training platform

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

To become the Area Sales Manager for Cambodia you will need:

 

  • 5-10 years selling Global PPE brands in Indonesia
  • Persistent and consistent in efforts to grow your territory
  • Clean drivers’ licence and willingness to meet clients daily
  • Strong prospecting, presentation and sales closing skills
  • Strong English language skills
