The Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA) is an intergovernmental organisation working to strengthen national capacity and regional solidarity so Pacific island countries can manage, control, and develop their valuable tuna fisheries now and into the future.

Based in Honiara, Solomon Islands, FFA's 17 member nations are Australia, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Zealand, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an Investment Facilities Manager to join the organisation and begin providing high quality advice on fisheries investments.

In addition to an attractive remuneration package of US$94,801.98 - US$131,244.00 (Base Salary plus COLDA and Location Allowance subject to exchange rates)the successful candidate will receive a host of other benefits, including:

  • Relocation assistance provided to help you move
  • Superannuation paid at 7.5% into either a nominated fund or  paid on a six-monthly basis
  • Reimbursements provided for all reasonable costs related to medical, dental, and optical expenses for you and your dependants
  • Insurance coverage for personal accidents, life and medical
  • Education allowance for dependant children is reimbursed at a rate of 75% (conditions apply)
  • Repatriation allowance of 2 week’s base salary provided on return to home-base at the end of your contract

About the Opportunity

This role will see you providing high quality advice on fisheries investment, to ensure member countries maximise their economic development opportunities. You will also be responsible for developing worthwhile employment opportunities in the Tuna Industry in line with our regional roadmap.

The successful candidate will be appointed initially on a 3 year contract of employment and possible renewal for a further 3-year subject to the ongoing need for the position, availability of funding and performance on the job.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

To be considered for this position, you must hold a tertiary qualification in Finance, Business Management, Economics, Law, Banking or Accounting.
