A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in Professor Hao Feng’s lab at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) to work on a novel separation approach for liquid solutions. The work is supported by the US Department of Energy and has generated significant industrial interest.

The work will primarily involve experimental development of scalable processes and hardware to efficiently effect these separations.  Additional responsibilities will include mentoring graduate students, writing journal publications and proposals, and presenting research at scientific meetings.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have a PhD in chemical, biochemical, bioprocess, mechanical, food, or agricultural and biological engineering, or separation sciences. The candidate should have experience in separation unit operations, scale-up, phase equilibrium, solution chemistry, and characterization techniques (HPLC/GC).
